Eugene gave each of us a chocolate piece, a high class choclatier in England, and he asked that we learn to get out of our habits of just eating in quantity as americans and learn to really indulge and taste things. It was really amazing, and this video is Dana and I recapping on the journey through the chocolate adventure!!
Today we went to the Wallace collection where we saw some great work of Rembrandt and Fragonard. Then we took a group picture in front of Parliament, then we spent like 4 hours in the Tate Modern museum, which had tons of contemporary work. My favorites were some of Joseph Bueys, Rothko, and Barnett Newman. There were so many, it really is hard to say. I really love seeing contemporary and older art.
Tomorrow, Sean and I are driving up to Leeds at 9:00 in the morning to with his friend Charles. I am so excited. Radiohead, Vampire Weekend, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bloc Party, etc. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel so enlightened from your chocolate experience - perhaps all chocolate should be eaten in front of a video camera to enhance the experience? I think the name of the chocolate is also the name of the tea company that supplies tea for the queen, but I am not positive.
ReplyDeleteI hope vampire weekend does the song I like! - of course, I only know the one! It should be so great going to another part of England - I'm sure you and sean will have a great time!
Nice choice of music. Can you play that on guitar now?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I'm convinced that the chocolate was any good, compared to American chocolate. You'll have to bring some back here for testing... or perhaps send a few pounds of it through the mail.
