Productive Day

This is Anthony's newest facebook picture, his super cool look.

This picture is Jeremy, pretending to be a plastic soldier.

I woke up this morning and I shot straight down to my feet. I had a terrible itch, and I came to realize I had over 20 mosquito bites, at least. I slept on the porch for some crazy reason, and that was what I got for it hah. Throughout the day though, things got much better.

This picture here is the last standing soldiers from the huge battle I had with Jeremy and Anthony. There were midget soldiers who did the best.

I played a couple of intense games of darts, then headed out to the local Ocean Park grocery store and ordered a great Lobster Roll. Although it was ten dollars, I would say it was worth it. Then we played more darts and headed out to play more shuffleboard. The teams were my Grandpa and Dad vs. Tom and I. We lost the first game and ONE the second, so that was nice. Right when we go home my Dad, Tom and I all went out to the Saco, Maine Boon Field Disc Golf Course. It was extremely fun. The first game, my Uncle Tom and I were tied into the 18th hole, and I missed my last put to lose by one. Then the second round, I ended up winning by one, so we tied for the game out of all 36 holes! So great. My dad did really well too!

This picture here is very important, I can't officially say its an ace, but we all shot second throws, and I aced it. It was amazing. Then we came back home to a nice dinner of tuna casserole, a traditional family dinner that my Grandpa makes. It was really nice. Then my Grandpa offered to pay for ice cream, so a good group of our family went to the ice cream store and got stuff, that was really nice. Then I came back to the house, played a couple games of chess, and then poker! It was a three dollar buy in, and it came down to my Uncle Bobby and I, but we decided to just cash out and finish the game. I had more chips :) I got like 10 bucks!

So, it was a pretty nice day. I miss everyone back home, and can't wait to leave in 5 days!

  1. I love the song! Okay - I know I said no grammar checks, but this is just too hard to pass up. You "one" the game, Scott? Really? You "one" it?

  2. I'm thinking that maybe the capital "ONE" might be a play on words, but I don't get the joke.

  3. Scott's ace was a great moment. As it was flying through the air, I said something like, "THAT's a good one." The hole was uphill a bit from the tee, with a good barrier of woods directly along the right side of the fairway, blocking any possibility of an approach with a right-left curve (which is the way that Scott's throws often fly). Scott shot it hard and straight, and the disc just barely missed the trees as it flew. The shot looked pretty good, and was banking slightly toward the left when it slammed into the middle of the chains and dropped quickly into the basket. Some shots bounce around a little, but this one just stuck, with no question about its destination. Scott yelled and jumped into the air. He's come close before, but has never hit a shot from the tee pad before. The ace didn't count in the game, because it was his second shot (a fun shot taken after the one that counted), but it does count as an ace, and was probably the first of many for Scott. Boom Field Disc Golf Course will be one of our favorites from now on. It's a relatively new course and is improving from year to year as the mow the weeds and move the holes around.
