Relaxing and Illumination Night!

My dad and I were definitely still on pacific last night and didn't get to bed until like 3:30! But its all good I woke up early and had a pretty great day :) I started it off by taking a traditional trip to Hannafords, the local grocery store where we bought tons of fruit to cancel out all the candy and chips we have been eating. Then I went to the beach with my dad and we threw a frisbee around for awhile, which is always nice and we went and got sandwiches at a little shop. Then I went to the local art show to see what was going on, which was really not too exciting. Then it was time for the Strawberry Shortcake social/Illumination Night celebration with the Ocean Park Band. My grandpa bought me a strawberry shortcake, it was nice. Then people went over to Sea Grove, one of the other family houses in Ocean Park to eat lobster and celebrate my Uncle Bobby's birthday. Now I am heading over there again to listen to his top 50 favorite songs, because he is turning 50!

I also called my Grandpa who is on my mom's side of the family who turned 83 today! He is going to meet me in Europe later in December after my school session finishes.

Lastly, the highlight of the day, I got skype working with my mom from San Diego to Maine, it really works! We had a nice talk and I got to see my dog bailey :)

Now I am going to look around the nieghborhood at the Illumination Night lights! Sorry for the super long post today hah.

p.s. Mom, that first picture is what the upside tomato plant is supposed to look like!!!

Boston>Ocean Park Maine

Today started at Andy's Diner with my Uncle's Tom and Richard, my Aunt Amy, my Dad and I. They had some of the best french toast I've had in awhile, and it came with eggs and lots of bacon. It was the Cambridge Classic!!! Then we waited for my grandpa to come pick us up and we drove up to Ocean Park. The whole day was full of rain and once we got to Ocean Park, I have read a little, played a little banjo, ate salmon and sat around. Basically as I expected. I also went to the Variety store and bought 6 dollars worth of candy with my cousin Catherine and Anthony, I got the huge pixie stix thing and I feel gross now haha. It's been great so far, being surrounded by hundreds of beer bottles and good laughs. Sorry for the small pictures, I'm stealing some internet so its running a little slow :) Thanks for the comments guys! And that second picture is of me in a stump! It had a winnie the pooh door on the other side!

Day One_ San Diego>Boston

Today, is July 30th, 2009 and I am starting the longest trip I ever been on. I left from San Diego around 12:00 p.m. pacific time and now it's 1:38 a.m. eastern time. A fun filled day of traveling! I realized as I left that I am really going to miss my Mom, Brother and his girlfriend Jess because I have had such a great summer hanging out with all of them. This trip to Boston/Maine is just the beginning of my journey and it is lasting for about ten days, then I am off for Europe. My Uncle Richard met my Dad and I in the Boston Airport and we took his Zip Car to his new apartment. The picture of the bunny was done by a Gardner Museum employee and the self- portrait Raphael painting was bought online by my Uncle. These are just two of the many hanging on his walls. Tomorrow my grandpa is meeting us in Boston to drive us up to Maine to the beach house, I can't wait to just sit back and relax for this next week with the Lingner family. My plans are to play frisbee golf, go to the local candy shop, hang out at the beach, read Les Miserables and play banjo :)
